UTSAV-2011, the state youth festival of Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM) concluded at Neyyattinkara on December 5th. Arch Diocese of Trivandrum secured the first position in the arts festival which was conducted on December 3rd, 4th and 5th. Prizes for the winners were distributed by Most Rev. Dr. Soosaipakiam, Archbishop of Trivandrum Latin Archidiocese and head of Latin Catholic Church in Kerala.
KCYM Diocese of Mananthavady secured the second position in the youth festival in which more than 600 youth from different catholic diocese in Kerala contested. The third and fourth position was secured by KCYM Diocese of Tellicherry and KCYM Diocese of Neyyattinkara.
In the youth festival that spanned for two days, Lydia Sebastian from Arch Diocese of Trivandrum and Sabu Arakkuzha from Diocese of Kothamangalam were elected as Kalathilakam and Kalaprathibha (individual champions) respectively.
Earlier on December 4th, the state youth festival of KCYM was officially inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Vincent Samuel, Bishop of Diocese of Neyyattinkara. The arts fest was conducted with an aim of developing and promoting the talents of the youth.
