Jomon Vellapally Elected as FIMCAP Asian President

Jomon Thomas Vellapally, former ICYM National vice president and a Fimcap representative, has been elected as the Asian President of Fimcap. He was elected in the Fimcap Asian Conference which was held at Srilanka from 25th November to 28th November.

Jomon Thomas Vellapally, who is a native of Manimala in Kottayam District, was the ICYM National Vice President in the activity year 2008 - 2010. Jomon, an active member of Changasserry Arch Diocese, was formerly the diocesan president of Yuvadeepti-KCYM Arch Diocese of Changasserry and Pastoral Council Member.

Fimcap is the international federation of catholic parochial youth movements, but even more a family for youth workers, youth and children all over the world. The name fimcap originates from the French title: Fédération Internationale des Mouvements Catholiques d’Action Paroissale. Today, Fimcap has more than twenty members around the world, situated in more than twenty countries on four continents.
